The Host City

Lahore

Pakistan’s second-largest city and its cultural heart — a place of Mughal gardens, historic forts and mosques, legendary food streets, and famous hospitality. Lahore is also one of the country’s leading centres for medicine and education, easily reached through Allama Iqbal International Airport. A fitting home for a national gathering of surgeons.

The Institution

Allama Iqbal Medical College

Established in 1975 and named after the poet-philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal, AIMC is among Pakistan’s most respected public medical institutions. Affiliated with the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, and anchored by its teaching hospital — Jinnah Hospital — it has trained thousands of physicians and surgeons across five decades.
